Parks & Recreation
Our Parks & Recreation Department does a wonderful job maintaining the many parks and facilities available. Extending miles along the Atlantic coast and inland toward St. Johns River, it manages over 16,000 acres of sanctuaries and conservation areas, in addition to 119 parks, 44 beach access sites, nature centers, campgrounds, golf courses and much more. The Merritt Square Mall and the Melbourne Square Mall provide traditional shopping mall experiences. The Avenue Viera is an open-air shopping destination that features a mix of well-known retail brands, local merchants and specialty restaurants. For visitors who enjoy creative art, downtown areas in Cocoa Village, Titusville, Melbourne, and Eau Gallie’s Arts District offer diverse range of boutiques and eclectic galleries.
